HARLOW Running Club were represented at the Bedford Half Marathon on Sunday morning by 11 runners. First home was Kirk Crudgington, in his debut at the distance, finishing in 191st place out of 2532 finishers in a superb 1hr 34min 21sec. He was followed by Ben Usher 239th in 1.36.21, Jason Fox 392nd in 1.42.35(PB), Colin Moody 534th in 1.47.06, Laura Prime 642nd in 1.48.43(PB), Matt Austin 654th in 1.50.02, Mick Maddams 764th in 1.52.40, Holly Davis 803rd in 1.53.19(PB by over 8min), Paul Cadogan 1583rd in 2.13.22, Oliver Skipper 1684th in 2.16.34 and Louise Peacock 1742nd in 2.17.52.

Meanwhile, for those who prefer the shorter distance, at the off-road Takeley 10K Martin Westley finished in 2nd place out of 416 finishers in an excellent 35.48. Jason Haigh was 14th in 41.59, Terri Wiley 59th in 47.23(PB), Paul Dixon 82nd in 48.56, Jacobus van der Poel 134th in 53.28, Vincent Martin 147th in 54.27(PB), Tracie Cook 148th in 54.27(PB), Paula Miles 209th in 57.38(PB), Debra Monk 214th in 58.06(PB), Celia Haigh 245th in 59.57, Teresa Warren 258th in 60.52, Austin Nyamande 282nd in 62.06 and Yasmin Gregory 414th in 87.54.

At the Spitfire 10k at Hendon RAF Museum Robin Lozeau finished in 210th place out of 674 finishers and 3rd Vet 60 in 55.18.

At the Bedford Twilight 10K Matt Austin finished in 248th place out of 1861 finishers in 49.27, Robert Foxley was 623rd in 57.50, Wendy Schroder 629th in 57.55 and Paul Schroder 630th in 57.56.

At the Royal Parks Summer 10k at Hyde Park Hazel Kurz finished in 195th place out of 418 finishers in a PB time of 56.30.

At the St Neots Sprint Triathlon (750m swim / 24km bike / 5km run) Paul Schroder finished in 62nd place out of 189 finishers in 1.29.45, Paul Lawes was 85th in 1.37.05, Wendy Schroder 140th in 1.43.49 and Kate Babb 164th in 1.52.25.

At the Sussex Standard Distance Triathlon (1.5k swim / 40k bike / 10k run) Kerry Mavris was 2nd Female Vet 45 in 3.23.41.
