Longwood Primary is one of the happiest schools in the UK!
LONGWOOD Primary Academy, in Harlow, are ‘over the moon’ after being listed as one of the nation’s top four happiest schools!
The school, nationally renowned for its work on mental health and wellbeing (TES Employer of the Year 2018 and Place2Be Primary Community 2019), celebrated on being finalists as ‘Happiest School of the Year’ at the National Happiness Awards – the UK’s more prestigious awards in happiness across the business, public and education sectors.
James Hollinsley, headteacher at Longwood Primary Academy, said “Over the past four years we have strived to ensure that we have a happy, thriving community. The focus on holistic education – the mind, body and soul of our children – is paramount. Our school community is ecstatic to be recognised for our great work as ‘happiness makers’ and providing our pupils with the best foundation for later life.”
The school, part of NET Academies Trust and nominated for its work on positive relationships, personal development, coping skills, confidence and support, has created a wide number of strategies for wellbeing and positive mental health for their community.
The awards, hosted by Laughology, are being held on Friday 22nd November in Kings Cross, London.
