HARLOW Running Club member Paul Watts competed in the Band of Brothers Xmas Run, a 6 hour timed event, where runners complete as many 3.2 mile laps as they can in the time limit. Paul managed 9 laps for a total of 29.5 miles in 6hrs 31min 22sec.

Meanwhile at the Hare and Tortoise Raynedeer Trail Run, at Rayne near Braintree, runners also complete 3.2 mile loops for a total of either the 26.2 mile marathon distance or the 6.25 mile 10K distance. Completing the marathon distance were Helen Barnes-Martin finishing in 30th place out of 104 finishers in 5.51.16 and Teresa Warren 31st in 5.51.17, both in their debut at the distance. At the 10K distance Lindsey Pearson finished in 90th place in 1.16.16.

At the Milton Keynes Winter Half Marathon Lex Ellington finished in 199th place out of 2136 finishers in a PB time of 136.05.

At the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 10K Kevin Smith finished in 20th place out of 331 finishers and 1st Vet 50 in 39.03, Laura Prime was 81st and 2nd Female Vet 40 in 48.15 and Davina Smith 229th in 1.01.57(PB).

At the Start Fitness Metropolitan Cross Country League, held on a 5 mile course at Uxbridge, Martin Westley finished in 126th place out of 458 finishers in 31.31 and Andy Smith was 346th in 38.19.
