ESSEX Police have arrested a man for various offences following a pursuit along the A12 near Brentwood this morning, Tuesday 28 April.

The 29-year-old man from Harlow remains in custody on suspicion of failing to stop, theft of a motor vehicle, theft of alcohol, drink driving and driving with no insurance.

Officers reported that they attempted to stop a vehicle on the M25 at junction 28 at around 12.50am.

The vehicle drove off at speed before colliding with a bush off the A12.

A large amount of alcohol found in the vehicle was seized.
