News from Harlow Council: Restart of garden waste collections sees nearly 1,400 using the service
ALMOST 1,400 households have now signed up to Harlow Council’s green waste premium service, which re-launched last week.
Since the sign-up service went live on Monday 27 April, 931 previous users renewed the service whilst 465 signed up for the first time, bringing the total to 1,396 as of Thursday 7 May.
The collection service, which normally costs £42 a year plus a one-off £30 payment for a brown bin for new users, has been reduced to £38.50 as the service didn’t operate in April.
Previously, the service was £96 a year.
The service was suspended at the beginning of April due to the impact of coronavirus.
