Man arrested after police chase across Harlow

POLICE officers from Operational Support Group (OSG) arrested a man after a car failed to stop for them on Howard Way, Harlow, just after 10pm last night.

They pursued the red Chrysler to Elizabeth Way, where the driver and passengers had abandoned the vehicle.

A 29-year-old local man has been arrested and he remains in custody for questioning.

He has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, drink driving, failing to stop when instructed and going equipped. He was also arrested on suspicion of two offences of threats of criminal damage and one of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm in September 2019.
