A HARLOW man has been charged with being possession of an imitation firearm.

John Smiles, aged 52, of Red Lion Lane, Harlow has been charged with the following.

On 05/05/2020 at Harlow had in your possession an imitation firearm, namely a CO2 powered handgun, with intent, by means thereof to cause another, to believe that unlawful violence would be used against him or another.

Smiles has been remanded on conditional bail until his next appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.
