A FILM based in Harlow has garnered rave reviews on its release this week.
Filming for Lynn and Lucy took place in 2018 and many will not only recognise the locations but also a number of Harlow residents who were involved in the film as extras as well as speaking parts.
The story line is as follows:
“Lynn and Lucy are lifelong best friends, their relationship as intense as any romance. Neither has ventured far from where they grew up. Lynn, who married her first boyfriend and whose daughter is fast growing up, is delighted when the charismatic, volatile Lucy has her first baby boy. Lucy, however, does not react to being a mother as Lynn expects. Soon, they find their friendship is tested in extreme circumstances”.
BBC and Guardian film critic, Mark Kermode reviewed it on BBC Five Live on Friday. He clearly loved it.
The clip shown below shows a scene filmed in Tiaras in The Stow.
At the moment, we think you can see the film on Amazon Prime and the BFI channel.
