A FORMER Burnt Mill student was part of the Arsenal squad that won the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.

Nineteen-year-old Matt Smith was an unused sub but he was still entitled to a medal.

Matt is fondly remembered at his school as he continued to play for the school team despite being on the books of The Gunners.

He is a highly regarded midfielder, who is making his way through the ranks and signed a professional contract in 2019.
