ESSEX Police is investigating a complaint of malicious communication.

A complaint was made by the editor of YourHarlow after a post was made on Facebook alleging that their office/house was the subject of a raid by Essex Police.

It also alleged that the editor was arrested and is subsequently on bail.

Essex Police confirmed that no such raid/incident/arrest took place.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating following a report of malicious communications in Harlow in connection with a post on Facebook.

A 33 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications.

“He has been released on bail until 9 October”.
