THE Leader of the Harlow Conservatives, Cllr Andrew Johnson, has written to the Leader of Harlow Council, Cllr Mark Ingall, asking for him to “set out a definitive time frame in which every single business that has applied for a grant will receive an answer as to whether their application is successful”. 

The news comes as over 170 Harlow businesses have still not had their business support grant applications looked at for up to six weeks. 

Cllr Johnson’s letter stated that he believes “This is unacceptable. These businesses are on their knees and their mental health is suffering because of…Council chaos”.
