New councillor enjoying challenges of Mark Hall ward
Communities / Thu 10th Feb 2022 at 09:30am
OVER the next few weeks, we are hoping to get round and interview some of the new councillors elected in May 2021.
They all have a four year run. They are all Conservative.
Both their local and national pictures are changing day by day.
We start with Mark Hall councillor, Matthew Saggers.
We interviewed Cllr Saggers down at The Stow.
Cllr Daggers represents Mark Hall ward, what is his position on the Stort Crossing? Will he protect the green belt and river walk along Riverway from the developers? How will he protect the Hundreds of businesses from traffic delays and loss of business when the existing humpback railway bridge is rebuilt? How will access to the town dump be effected? Or will the dump need to be relocated? Whats the plan for access to Mead Park Industrial park for the 2 year time frame once they start constructing this massive flyover and will traffic be effected and if so how wil essential HTS vehicles and Dust Carts get to clean our town..How much is this going to cost Harlow taxpayers Cllr Saggers? Lets hope he can discuss this with all our local businesses before the Stort Crossing goes through planning!
I am delighted to be represented by such a dedicated and engaged Councillor. I am sure he will do his best for his ward.
Labour are stuck in history (time warp) they don’t evolve.finely the good people of Harlow and myself have given up on them! Knowing Labour are a waste of space.
Conservatives are stuck with their pals and chumps from Eaton with their noses in the property developers troughs. So we are truly up the creek here then. The trouble with the system is that it's been two party, take a look at the very honest Australian take on this via YouTube. Warning strong language https://youtu.be/bleyX4oMCgM
Floating voter .... The Harlow Alliance Party was set up in part because a group of residents were fed up with the two Party system, both wedded to Westminster politics who shout down or vote against any proposals which the other side puts. We will welcome any new members, indeed those willing to stand as a candidate at the next election, who share our aim to ensure that the Council engages with residents during the policy making system and provides such good quality services that residents do not feel they have to keep contacting or complaining to Councillors about issues.
Look after locals.........
