Crime / Sat 12th Feb 2022 at 11:02pm

A DISPERSAL order’s been put in place in Harlow following concerns about a large car meet.

It’s been put in place from around 10.15pm today (Saturday 12 February) until 6am tomorrow (Sunday 13 February).

It was put in place after more than 100 vehicles gathered at junction seven of the M11 and congregating in car parks off Edinburgh Way.

There have been concerns about vehicles racing along Velizy Avenue and as well as anti-social driving.
The order covers an area including River Way, Church Langley, Old Harlow, and Harlow Town Centre.

Inspector Tony Short said: “This order has been put in place due to concerns about dangerous and anti-social driving.

“The large number of vehicles means there will be significant disruption to people living in the area.

“Our first priority will always be to public safety and this meet poses a risk to that. Residents should also not be subjected to this kind of noise nuisance and anti-social behaviour.”
