Fire breaks out at chapel in Parndon Wood Cemetery

ESSEX Fire Crews were called to Parndon Wood cemetery after reports of a fire.
An Essex Fire Service spokesperson said: “We were called to Parndon Wood Cemetery yesterday (Monday 28 February) at 1.33pm.
“Two crews from Harlow attended and fully extinguished a small fire in the chapel by 2.22pm, then used fans to clear the smoke”.
YH has contacted Parndon Wood to ascertain if the chapel is closed an if so, for how long?
We have also contacted Funeral Directors Daniel Robinsons.
A spokesperson said: “We have worked hard to ensure that all funerals that we are working on are being accommodated elsewhere for today and will continue in this vein, continuing to monitor the situation closely”.
