A MOTORIST has been fined more than £900 after he was caught speeding on the M3 at Basingstoke.

Kwabena Asante, 41 and of Harlow, was driving a Vauxhall Mokka on the northbound carriageway between junctions six and five at 115mph – the limit is 70mph.

Asante admitted the charge during a magistrates court hearing. He was fined £923 and given six points on his licence.

He was also told to pay £90 court costs and a £92 victim surcharge.
