THE children and staff at Pear Tree Mead Academy came into school on Wednesday in their funky socks to raise awareness of children who are Young Carers. 

The children across the school discussed what it means to be a Young Carer and thought about how they could care for each other as part of the school and wider community.

As part of the day the SEND team have gathered views of our Young Carers to take action to make improvements for them.  Our Young Carers also enjoyed some time together, talking whilst enjoying a biscuit!
