HARLOW Health Centres Trust (HHCT), the largest grant provider based in Harlow, has announced an additional £43,000 to support health and wellbeing projects across Harlow and the surrounding area in 2026. This brings the Trust’s total grants allocation for the year to £200,000.

HHCT has already funded a wide range of initiatives, including support for people experiencing addiction or mental health challenges, life‑saving medical equipment, improvements to community facilities, and essential core costs that help charities and community groups remain sustainable.

Applications for HHCT’s Summer Awards are open until 30 June, with decisions made by the Grants Committee in July.

Charities and community groups are encouraged to apply. Applications should clearly demonstrate how the proposed project or service will improve health and wellbeing and deliver meaningful benefits to the local community in Harlow and the surrounding areas.

Prospective applicants are welcome to contact HHCT to discuss their proposal before submitting an application.

If your organisation has a project or service that requires funding support, please email [email protected] or visit https://hhct.org.uk/grants-donation  for further information.

The HHCT Grants Committee will also meet in October 2026 to consider applications for the Autumn Awards. The closing date for submissions is 23 September.

Here is what some of our grant recipients have said about the support they received from Harlow Health Centres Trust.

“We are grateful to HHCT for enabling the development of sustainable mental health resources and services that will continue benefiting Harlow residents beyond the lifetime of the grant.”

Rabia Waqra Khan, Mind & Connect

“Citizens Advice Harlow is very grateful to Harlow Health Centres Trust for supporting the expansion of our Advice in GP Surgeries programme. The grant has contributed to a model that is now supported by independent evaluation and has demonstrated clear value in helping address the wider determinants of health.

The project has shown that accredited advice in GP surgeries can reach residents who may not otherwise seek help, provide practical support in a trusted setting, improve financial resilience, and contribute to a more preventative approach to health and wellbeing.

The continuation of the programme through a small National Lottery funding is an important validation of the model and gives us the opportunity to build on the work HHCT has helped support.”
