HARLOW Town enjoyed a perfect weekend in the Herts and Essex Border League as all three senior sides recorded emphatic victories, collecting a maximum 60 league points from a memorable Saturday.
At Ash Tree Field, the 1st XI produced a statement performance in Division Two, crushing Albury by 255 runs. Captain Patrick Yates led from the front with a superb 119, while Ben Tyne added 76 in a match-defining partnership. With 297 for five on the board, Town’s bowlers took over, Anil Clarke claiming 4 for 18 and Sam Wilson 3 for 12 as Albury were skittled for just 42.

The 2nd XI maintained their strong Division Three challenge with a comfortable four-wicket victory over Dunmow’s 3rd XI. Simon Rowell’s excellent 4 for 26 helped dismiss the visitors for 144, while Ashley Norcott’s aggressive 46 and Alex Manning’s fluent 38 ensured Town reached their target with more than 18 overs remaining.
There was an even more dominant display from the 3rd XI in Division Four as they swept aside Hoddesdon by 209 runs. Captain James Shearman starred with an unbeaten 130 in a total of 272, before Calvin Quadir returned outstanding figures of 4 for 13 as the hosts were bowled out for 63.
Across the club there were centuries, five bowlers claiming four wickets or more, and a series of disciplined all-round performances. Most encouragingly for Harlow Town, contributions came from throughout the squads, underlining the depth and momentum building across all three sides as the season enters a crucial phase.
