The results from this were:
• Two suspects arrested, one for concerned in the supply of drugs and another for an offensive weapon (locking knife found during stop search).
• 1 knife found discarded in the Town area.
• 1x Cannabis Community resolution
• 1x Possession of Class A who will be cautioned
The police also conducted various stop and searches on the night.
The police described it as “All in all a very good nights work around the Town Centre.
Roll on the regeneration of the Town Centre and the introduction of high quality venues, restaurants and bars and get rid of these awful places like the pub in the Market Square. We need to drive these low lives and petty criminals out of the area so that it is a pleasant environment for decent people to frequent. It is so sad to see this squalor.
