Health / Thu 31st Mar 2022 at 03:28pm
WE are giving you updates on the Covid-19 situation in Harlow as the needs arise.
We are doing this because we want to give Harlow residents an accurate picture of where we are re Covid-19.
From January 31st, we provided a weekly report.
It is by no mean perfect but it gives you, we believe, a fair picture of the situation.
The report covers UK figures; Princess Alexandra Hospital figures; the Local Authority table which gives Harlow’s position out of 315 local authorities, as well as rate per thousand and the number of cases.
We have a dedicated Covid-19 channel which has over 1300 stories.

Thank you for the work YH has done reporting over the last two years. We can only presume the number "recorded cases" will now fall rapidly as there will no longer be free lateral flow tests. Meanwhile all the indications are that nationally numbers of "actual cases" are on the rise. To quote George Orwell - '“It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.”' Here's hoping that with "freedom" to behave as we like the number of hospital admissions and the "long covid figures" remain relatively low - we shall see.
