New Sculpture Walk for Spring on 30 April

HARLOW Arts Trust are delighted to launch our 2022 season of Sculpture Walks by celebrating the return of Barbara Hepworth’s seminal Contrapuntal Forms with a  new guided sculpture walk starting and ending at the Harlow Museum. The walk will start at 10.30am from the courtyard near the museum internal entrance on Saturday April 30th.

This two and a half hour circular walk takes in several of Harlow’s most important sculptures, set in Sir Frederick Gibberd’s visionary New Town, including works by acclaimed artists such as F.E. McWilliam and Betty Rea. The walk is about 4.5 miles (7.2 km) over pavement, grass and some hills. The walk has been devised by Harlow Sculpture Town Friend, Jenny Organ, and Harlow Art Trust Trustee, Pete Cronin.

The walk will return to the Harlow Museum and guests are invited to explore the beautiful grounds and fascinating stories inside.

We are offering this walk free to visitors and to the Friends of Harlow Sculpture Town, and of course encourage donations to our small charity.

If you would like to make a donation to Harlow Art Trust, you can choose to do this upon booking your ticket. The suggested donation is £5 per person.

Booking by Thursday 26 April requested. Book via Eventbrite Link here or email [email protected] to help our planning.

Brilliant, but might sometimes can you make it a cycle tour, especially because there's lots of us not so good on our pins! Appropriate because isn't the Museum a cycle museum as well as local history?.
