ESSEX Police are now in a position to confirm that, sadly, a man died following an incident on the M11 near Harlow yesterday.

They received reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway between Junction 7a for Harlow and Junction 8 for Sheering at around 2.05pm.

Emergency services attended but, sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed while officers investigated but all vehicles trapped in traffic were freed by 3.50pm.
