YOUR HARLOW celebrates its ninth birthday today (July 1st).
Launched with backing from the Carnegie Trust after winning a Neighbourhood News competition, our initial aim was to add to the sum of news being provided in the town.
Since July 1st 2013, we have published over 26,000 stories.
In our first full year, we had 300,000 page views.
In June 2022 alone, we had 466,000 page views.
We have close to 12,000 followers on Facebook and over 7,000 followers on Twitter.
We also have our YouTube channel that has close to 1500 subscribers.
Editor Michael Casey said: “When I say that every day is a blank canvas, I mean it. Journalism is very much the first draft of history.

“I would just like to think that if we closed today, someone, in fifty to a hundred years time, hoping to find a little bit more about Harlow between July 1st 2013 and July 1st 2022, will find our 26,000 stories of some use.”

Congratulations for this Micheal. Without Your Harlow we would know very little about what is happening in our town.
Congratulations. YH is an invaluable resource, especially with local "news" being dominated by the likes of Reach plc taking over what used to be quality local newspapers and turning it into mere vessels for advertisements. Keep up the good work and here's to another nine years of hyperlocal journalism.
Cool! It's good to have a local source of news.. other media tend to focus on negative items Your Harlow covers all topics about the town and surrounding areas. A good sounding board for all the Grumpies too! Well done team👍
Well done Michael. X
Good source of information x
