Lifestyle / Wed 17th Aug 2022 at 09:35am

GREATER Anglia have issued detailed advice as users may be affected by strike action over the coming days.

Our travel advice

  • Strike day – Avoid travelling with us. Our services will be severely reduced and disrupted. It’s likely that most routes won’t have trains or bus replacements for them. Advance tickets have been removed from sale on strike days, you can check the Advance ticket section on our homepage for updates.
    • Thursday 18th August (RMT union)
    • Saturday 20th August (RMT union)
  • The day after a strike day – a strike can after following morning’s train times. Some morning services won’t run but we should go back to normal in the early afternoon.
  • Check the revised train times for your entire journey, before deciding to travel. There’ll be later first trains on the strike days & the following morning, and earlier last trains on the strike days only. Click on the date you want to travel below for more information.
  • Be aware of engineering works.
  • Use alternative transport if you can.
  • Check this page before you travel, and the websites for other train companies you’re travelling with.

Big impact for those students that live in Harlow but go to sixth forms in Hertfordshire/Bishop's Stortford and are collecting their A-level results tomorrow.

Big impact also for the workers giving up 2 days pay during a cost of living crisis.
