HGV licence training opportunity for Harlow residents

EPPING Forest District Council, Harlow Council and Uttlesford District Council have joined forces to deliver training courses for residents in West Essex.
The courses in collaboration with Essex County Council are funded by the UK Government, through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

HGV license
Fully funded training for Classes 1 & 2, HIAB & Forklift, CPC & ADR licences. The hands-on training courses are delivered over 3 weeks (not necessarily consecutive) and start with an application followed by a medical, before commencing the driving/equipment instruction and test.
Eligibility
This scheme is available to:
individuals over the age of 19
individuals residing in Essex, Uttlesford, Harlow, Epping Forest and Tendring
individuals who earn less than £35,000 per year
individuals with no more than 6 points on their driving licence
individuals able and willing to commit to complete to the training and examinations
Training courses
Training courses available:
Class 1 HGV Lorry Licence
Qualified to drive class C & E vehicles
Class 2 HGV Lorry License
Qualified to drive 7.5 and up to 32 tonnes
HIAB & Forklift
Truck loader – cranes using hydraulics
CPC & ADR
Certificate of professional competence. Qualified to drive dangerous goods such as flammable liquids or explosives
