BOOK a hassle free Christmas tree collection with St Clare Hospice

Christmas is just around the corner – and so is the St Clare Hospice tree recycling service!

In exchange for a suggested donation of £15, St Clare will collect and recycle your real Christmas tree between 9th and 11th January 2025 in the following postcode areas:
· CB10, CB11,
· CM5, CM6, CM16, CM17, CM18, CM19, CM20, CM21, CM22, CM23, CM24,
· EN9,
· IG7, IG9 and IG10.

Over the three days, St Clare’s team of volunteers will collect your real spruce, fir or pine tree from outside your address and dispose of it in an eco-friendly way. This year the collection service is kindly sponsored by Exertis. Bookings close at midday on 7th January 2025. Make your own Christmas wreath, in aid of St Clare Hospice

Get crafty this Christmas and come along to a wreath making workshop taking place this November in aid of St Clare Hospice.

Make a beautiful festive wreath to adorn your front door this yuletide under the expert guidance of Bishop’s Stortford-based independent florist, Floral Desire, while enjoying a mince pie or two.

The Workshop takes place at Hastingwood Village Hall on 28th November at 7pm. Spaces are limited and cost £50, which includes all the materials you will need as well as refreshments. For full details, call 01279 773750.

Light up a Life 2024: Remember someone special this December at St Clare Hospice.

Celebrate the life of someone special this Christmas by joining St Clare Hospice at one of this year’s Light up a Life services held at the Hospice in Hastingwood.

Light up a Life is a chance to come together with others who understand what it is like to grieve the loss of someone dear to you, with three remembrance services taking place at the Hospice in Hastingwood in December. Each service is a wonderful, inclusive occasion, with music and readings as well as a moment of reflection for those who hold a special place in our hearts.

Everyone is welcome to attend Light up a Life, whether you have experienced St Clare’s care or not, and no matter how long ago your loss was.

This year, there are two Hospice-based services to choose from:
· Thursday 12th December at 7pm
· Saturday 14th December at 4pm (Please come at 2.30pm if you would like to take part in children’s arts and craft activities)
