Integration Support: Helping people feel more at home in their communities

LAST year was an incredibly busy year for Integration Support.
Chief Executive Marina Dunajeva told us that in 2024 they had 1300 enquiries from 82 different countries.

And that is just one element of what they do.
We sat down with Marina and discussed the work of Integration Support and how they help the new members of the community.
As the new town represented a new chapter in the life of Harlow, so does the changing nature of the population, where close to 20% are non-UK born.
A crucial service for which more volunteers are needed. One of my relatives volunteers there and gets lots of satisfaction helping people who have sometimes been through tremendous hardship & trauma to get to a safe but confusingly alien country. Help to make Harlow & the UK in general a welcoming place where diversity is embraced.
