OFFICERS investigating the reported theft of items from the doorsteps of addresses in Harlow have made an arrest.
They are further appealing for the owner of a pair of recovered stolen trainers, pictured, to get in touch so they can be returned.
On Friday 24 January, Harlow’s Community Policing Team (CPT) received reports of a man taking items including shoes and a doorbell camera from outside a home in the Westfield area.
Appeals were shared on a local Facebook group and members of the public contacted them.
Later that evening, officers stopped and searched a man in Harlow town centre, recovering a knife and a small amount of suspected Class A drugs.
A pair of size 5 Adidas Terrex trainers, suspected to be stolen, were also recovered.
If the trainers belong to you, get in touch with Harlow CPT by emailing [email protected].
We are aware other addresses may have been targeted in similar circumstances in recent days and are appealing for any further victims, or anyone with information, to come forward.

Wow. A pair of trainers stolen from outside a house. Great Britain 2025
When my house was burgled I lost hundreds of pounds worth of belongings, never recovered or person caught but they didn't take my trainers, I was so pleased.
