CONGRATULATIONS to the ladies from Dunmow Bowling Club who won the Ladies Gala at Tye Green Indoor Bowls Club in Harlow recently.

More than 20 teams from across Essex and Hertfordshire entered the Charity Gala in aid of St Clare Hospice. A very close finish saw Dunmow Ladies edge over the line.

Derek Oakley from the event sponsors, Daniel Robinson & Sons – Independent Family Funeral Directors, said, “It was a marvellous day, played in a very friendly spirit, with a very exciting finish. The day raised £1200 for St Clare Hospice, which is a great cause. I would encourage anyone to go along to their local Bowls Club and give it a go, it’s a lot of fun”.
