LAST month, Chris Vince MP wrote to Essex County Council following concerning reports that the underpass leading to Harlow Mill station was completely unlit, causing commuters to feel vulnerable.

Following Chris Vince’s intervention, he has received the welcome news that Essex County Council have agreed to remedy the lack of lighting in the underpass.

Chris Vince MP: “Safety whilst commuting or travelling home, particularly for women, is of critical concern. Lighting plays a vital role in enhancing safety in public places.

“I thank Essex County Council for their attention to this and welcome the news that they will be remedying this issue. I am committed to ensuring that the public feel safe on the streets of Harlow.”
