Makes you wonder why he voted for it when it came to a vote.

So Chris why did you vote to remove the payment in the first place,? Was it to placate your PM and not represent those in Harlow who elected you, You clearly are a 1.term MP who has no interest in Harlow residents and are a career MP

He is a one term yes man, he was elected as he was not a tory and the torys split the right wing vote. They need to step aside at the next GE and let reform have a go. Vote tory get labour ;)

It is worth remembering that Chris Vince voted with his government's policy on cutting Winter Fuel Allowance (WFA) on two occasions on September 10, 2024. A motion to restore the WFA and another motion demanding "publishing a full regulatory and equality impact assessment for these Regulations" (cutting WFA) were presented by the Conservative"s Mel Stride. A recorded vote was taken on each, known as Division 14 and Division 15 respectively. In both Divisions Chris Vince voted against the motion. This meant Vince backed the government on both votes. See Hansard daily record with start of Winter Fuel Debate to reinstate payments at Column 712 on page 21 and start of motion to await Equality Impact Assessment at Column 741 on page 36 of https://hansard.parliament.uk/pdf/commons/2024-09-10

It is worth recording what Chris Vince voted against in Division 15 as it highlights the government's shady tactics in cutting Winter Fuel Payments:- "That this House regrets that the Government approved the use of the urgency exemption in section 173 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 to make and lay the Social Fund Winter Fuel Payment Regulations 2024 before the Secretary of State had referred the Regulations to the Social Security Advisory Committee; further regrets that the Government decided it was not necessary to publish an impact assessment for the Regulations, despite, for example, the evidence which shows that living in a cold home increases the risk of serious illness for vulnerable people and those with disabilities and so restricting eligibility for the Winter Fuel Payment is likely to lead to increased burdens on the National Health Service; regrets that the Government made time to debate the prayer motion from the Official Opposition without the Social Security Advisory Committee’s Report, and Government response; and calls on the Government to lay those papers before Parliament without delay, and to publish a full regulatory and equality impact assessment for these Regulations." See Column 741 on page 36 of Hansard at https://hansard.parliament.uk/pdf/commons/2024-09-10

Correction:in my first comment I stated "Winter Fuel Allowance" when I should have stated Winter Fuel Payment.

"Non, je ne regrette rien" I think MP Vince meant. He was just following his "socialist" leader: wasn't he? Now for the reversal in the two cap rule, same again I suspect but too late me thinks!

Chris Vince voted to remove the WFA and now does a complete U turn like his paymaster, the inept Starmer. He is a total lackey. How Harlow voted him to be our MP just beggars belief. Bring on the next General Election to evict this clown and this awful government.

What a complete and utter farce,a complete change of policy and a bigger uptake in pension credits as a result, brilliant.Next try increasing the poverty tax band threshold of £12500 and do something useful.

Whilst reversing her decision the least Rachel from accounts could have said was we/i made a mistake and are sorry but slim chance of that from a politicians lips.

You are a weak mp . Stand up for what you think is right. Stop agreeing with others if you don't accept what they decide , you either want WFA or you don't, you are just trying to save your job by agreeing with the terrible 3 , Starmer, Reeves, and Rayner.
