Harlow’s Stand Up To Racism join over 700 marchers in Epping

CAMPAIGNERS from Harlow joined an estimated 750 strong march in support of refugees in Epping on Sunday 27th July. It was organised to show support for asylum seekers placed in the Bell Hotel who have been subject to intimidation and violence organised by the far right.

A spokesperson said: ‘The march in support of refugees followed a campaign orchestrated, as the Evening Standard newspaper has shown, by the neo–Nazi Homeland Party to whip up race hatred against the Hotel residents after an individual was arrested for allegedly attempting to kiss a 14-year-old girl.

“This far right campaign has seen violent attacks on the police and on staff working at the hotel”.

Speaking at the pro refugee gathering, historian and campaigner Louise Raw described how she had been a victim of rape and sexual assault as a child and that the far right had no real interest in the victims of it.  She explained that their only interest was in race hatred, and they were prepared to use victims to further their own ends. She explained how charity Hope not Hate had shown that indeed many far-right activists had been convicted of sexual offences themselves.

Stand up to Racism officer Sabby Dhalu said Reform UK had emboldened local far right protests. Local Reform Party vice chair and parliamentary election candidate Orla Minihane appeared alongside neo–Nazi Callum Barker outside the hotel on 17th July, declaring herself ‘far right.’

Dhalu warned “Reform UK, nationally and locally, is supporting actions led by neo-Nazis targeting asylum seekers at The Bell Hotel in Epping.’’

Therefore, decent people ‘’must unite and continue to mobilise against the far right on the streets and at the ballot box.”

It's great to see so many people go out to demonstrate an accurate picture of Britisness- care and compassion for the less fortunate. They far out-weighed the racists hiding behind their tissue of nonsense about protecting women and children.

Mark p I was just about to say the same thing, also where’s the mention of the very peaceful protests opposite the bell hotel patriots laughing playing music and dancing? The police have mentioned both protests, wanting ALL children safe isn’t racist.

A recent Hope not Hate (HnH) article exposed the underlying Nazi ideology of the Homeland Party which is still full of gate for the Jews. Daniel Gale, former East Midlands Regional Organiser, claimed in 2020 that “Jewish power is the first and most urgent question to be dealt with”, adding: “We don’t have to choose to deal with the jewish question OR the muslim question. To solve one, we must solve the other […] Jewish power will not simply allow nationalists to take power and repatriate the instruments of white destruction. In order to prevent the demographic replacement of the indigenous Britons we must put a stop to Jewish interference in our politics”. So Nazis using the people of Epping and Harlow to spread Hitler's hatred. See HnH article at https://hopenothate.org.uk/2025/07/24/the-fascists-taking-credit-for-the-epping-protests/

The only thing we should care about is children's safety, and that's it! Childrens safety outweighs literally everything else.

The bell hotel protests did not start out with any far right groups. It was local people and parents concerned after what had happened. Yes there were a few idiots shouting racist comments. It was only on the second protest where two groups with different views clashed. If both groups had just stayed away and allowed the locals to protest peacefully we would be in a better place right now.

Racism and Labour go hand in hand The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) investigation into the Labour Party identified serious failings in leadership and an inadequate process of handling anti-Semitism complaints. Its report said the party was responsible for three breaches of the Equality Act: political interference in anti-Semitism complaints, failure to provide adequate training to those handling anti-Semitism complaints and harassment.

It's marvellous to see so many concerned about the safety of children. Sadly over 80% of sexual assaults on children are carried out by family members or close friends of same. Obviously all these concerned people will look out for the signs of trauma in children they know to guard against this hugely greater threat, than assault by a stranger.

Absolutely agree with you Deborah. So, lets remember that out of every five people arrested for taking part in the Farage riots, two had previously been reported to the police for domestic abuse. In Rotherham, where 75 people were arrested after rioters set fire to an asylum hotel, 35 turned out to have been previously reported to the police for domestic abuse. So I guess our women and girls are safer in their homes when these violent yobs, their partners and fathers are out on the streets! They really are the worst of us.

It’s not racist to want the practice of letting undocumented males from who knows where wandering the streets in the UK.
