Some interesting information about last years riots that has been reported by a number of news outlets today. According to information obtained from police forces under the Freedom of Information Act - Two out of every five people arrested during last years summer riots have been previously reported to the police for domestic abuse. The previous offences of the people arrested include actual bodily harm including one man who repeatedly punched his ex-girlfriend, as well as grievous bodily harm, sexual assault, controlling coercive behaviour, criminal damage, stalking and battery. Supposedly these people were protesting/rioting in order to "protect women and children", yet they were actually part of the same cycle that drives domestic abuse and violence against women and children. This should seriously concern the people of Epping. How many of the people involved in the protests at Epping are actually involved in the very same type of abuse they say they are protecting women and children from. Be careful who you protest with.
PS - my previous comment was not directed at the man named in this report, but about the type of people who get involved in these types of protests generally.
Tomsk, let’s not get sidetracked from the main issue….people have had enough of immigration and enough of paying for them!
Tomsk, just for accuracy. Being reported for something is not the same as an event actually having taken place, nor is it the same as being found guilty of an offence. The Guardian (the source) would know that too.
Seamus - Tomsk said 2 in 5 previously reported - So what he said was accurate.
Hadenough - I’m fine with nurses etc. coming over here - I think people are fed up with a broken system which encourages young men who have been denied refugee status in the EU (because systems in the EU aren’t as broken as here) coming to our country and just bouncing around the system for years. They are fed up because the first duty of the government is the security of its people and the last government failed spectacularly on that. They are fed up because the people who brought us Bre><it and promised to take back control of our borders, did nothing of the sort. I think they are also fed up with these lowlifes rioting - Look at the picture above and the squalor that the bloke chooses to live in - He needs to sort out his bedroom before he tackles society's ills. Get off Facebook, get a job and start paying your way.
Nancy, the people that brought us Brexit are not he one’s that failed to deliver. The Tories did not want Brexit but feared the Brexit party at the next elections of they did not deliver. Cameron was a strong opponent to Brexit. We all know Labour don’t want Brexit. So you are wrong if you think those in power are doing their best to bring a positive spin on Brexit. Wait until next general election, Reform will sweep the board and bring a true version of Brexit with them. Condemning these traitor governments to the back benches where they belong!
I really am not surprised that there are still people out there who think Brexit was anything other than a massive mistake.
