Police confirm they are investigating “arson attack” that destroyed Harlow Town Park Bandstand

ESSEX Police has issued a statement following a fire that has destroyed the iconic bandstand at Harlow Town Park.

Chief Inspector Jenna Mirrington-French, Harlow district commander, said: “Working alongside Essex County Fire and Rescue, we’re investigating at fire at a bandstand in Harlow Town Park, which was reported to us shortly before 2am this morning, Friday 19 September.

“At this stage, the incident is being treated as arson and we’re investigating the circumstances around it.

“Our detectives are following a number of targeted lines of enquiry, and I will endeavour to keep the community updated as and when I can.

“I’d urge anyone with information on the incident should contact us as soon as possible.”

They won't get jail they are so full letting drug dealers traffickers stalkers out. They may get community service but I knew someone who did that and they do things like make xmas Dec's for them selves sl don't get ur hopes up

as I said in my previous comment yesterday I really do think there is a connection between this and the activities of the "flag raising" gangs that where until recently pretty active in this area!, what's obviously happened is that somebody wants to try and destroy the morale of those Harlow residents that embrace diversity and what better way to spite them then to burn down the one place where these values were appreciated!. if I was in the council's position I'd get those flags down right now and I'd go through all the CCTV i could to see if any of the same people where in the town park at the time of the fire!.
