Roydon motorcyclist dies in collision on A414

DETECTIVES are investigating a fatal collision on the A414 near Chipping Ongar.
A spokesperson said: “We were called to the scene at around 12pm on Sunday 19 October.
It was found a car and a motorcycle had been involved in a serious collision.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, from Roydon, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
His family have been informed and will be supported as our investigation continues.

Why does this keep happening on this notorious stretch of road, condolences to all involved.
Very sad, tragic accident. ECC is going to reduce the speed limit and instal average speed cameras all along this section of the A414, because of the number of fatal and serious accidents that have occurred over the past few years.
Nothing changes these serious accidents will continue, there's hardly any cops to be seen ,cars are fast and getting faster,use of mobile fones drink driving drugs ect ect .and I bet there's a lot of drivers out there that has never passed a test
