THE schedule had the teams facing off against each other again in the reverse fixture in a short space of time. 

Having lost to Michaelians in a tight battle just a week earlier, the Hawks travelled to face the Michaelians in what proved to be another tightly contested Herts Premier League Division 1 matchup. 

From the opening tip, the Hawks found themselves struggling to settle into rhythm, trailing for much of the game as the hosts applied strong defensive pressure and forced tough looks at the basket.

Despite the slow start, the Hawks remained composed and kept within touching distance,
never falling more than a dozen points behind. Solid defensive adjustments and improved
ball movement in the second half began to shift the momentum.

Rookie Reuben White continued his impressive start to the season, leading the team with
19 points, showing confidence beyond his years and making several key plays to ignite the
Hawks’ offense. Freddie Hiscock added 16 points, battling hard inside, while Guglielmo
Migliori and Philip Caleb chipped in with crucial baskets during key stretches.

As the final quarter unfolded, the Hawks’ persistence began to pay off. With just over four
and a half minutes remaining, they took their first lead of the game, sparked by strong
defensive stops and quick transition play. From there, the momentum firmly shifted in the
Hawks’ favour as they closed out the match with poise and determination to secure a
five-point victory on the road.

It was a well-earned win built on resilience, teamwork, and composure under pressure — a
performance that showcased the growing confidence of this young Hawks squad and a sign
of what’s to come as the season gathers pace.
