2025 ended on a high for Harlow Gymnastics Club. Gymnasts from the club attended six competitions this year, earning nearly 200 individual apparatus and all-around medals as well as myriad trophies, and the club itself earned an overall award.

Recognised for outstanding potential and enthusiasm, club co-owners Gordon Mitchell and Peter James collected the IGA Newcomers Award 2025. This award celebrates fresh talent in independent gymnastics, honouring those who have recently joined the IGA community and have already made a significant impact.
Following on from the club award, Freya, Marci, Millie and Penny were selected for the IGA National squad 2026 based on their competition results this year. These top-scoring gymnasts from the National finals will have the opportunity to train at gyms across the country with high-level coaches and choreographers, as meeting special guests.
The club finished off the year with a friendly competition for their squad groups, giving the gymnasts a chance to showcase the skills they’ve been developing throughout the year while gaining competition experience and building confidence by performing in front of family and friends.
The club are looking forward to building on this success in the new year.
