Thank you to councillors Brown and Purse who made contact with us.

Update: 1600 hrs

No water

We’re really sorry you if you have no water. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on Church Road which is causing this.

What we’re doing

Our repair team is currently on Church Road working to repair the burst water main. As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we’ll let you know.

What you can do

Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:

  • Washing machine
  • Dishwasher
  • Electrical appliances that use water

If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.

We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

We updated this message at 16:00 and we’ll update it again after 18:00.

Update: Water levels are continuing to rise on Church Road. Waters from the woods are now flowing into Church Road and into Chapel Fields.

The waters have not approached properties yet but are getting closer.
