Harlow man sentenced for being in possession of Samurai sword

A HARLOW man has been sentenced for being in possession of a number of offensive weapons.
Aston Allen, aged 19, of Northbrooks, Harlow appeared at Chelmsford magistrates court in relation to the following.

On June 13th, 2025 possessed in private, namely an address in Northbrooks, Harlow, a weapon to which section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 applied, namely samurai sword.
On June 13th, 2025 possessed in private, namely Northbrooks, Harlow, a weapon to which section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 applied, namely telescopic baton.
On June 13th, 2025 possessed in private, namely an address in Northbrooks, Harlow, a weapon to which section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 applied, namely zombie knife.
Allen was ordered to undertake 100 hours of unpaid work and fined £225.00
Are the judges having a joke here ,how many people are being stabbed and murdered over carrying ,and he gets community service!!!! That's laughable and not a deterrent for others ,got a slap on the wrist so won't have taught him a hard lesson , absolutely disgusting ,,judge is a disgrace
So, was he out and about threatening people with these weapons?
I agree- should have been given custodial. He was capable of killing with those weapons. No deterrent any more
Oh goody. Still free to do just what he wants with these dangerous weapons.
