A HARLOW man has pled guilty to being under the influence of three separate drugs after being stopped by the police on Southern Way in Harlow.

Scott Thompson, aged 38, of Carters Mead, Harlow appeared at Colchester magistrates court in relation to the following.

On February 1st, 2026, at Stevenage in the County of Hertfordshire had in your possession a quantity of cannabis a controlled drug of class B in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

On February 1st, 2026, at Stevenage in the County of Hertfordshire had in your possession a quantity of amphetamine, a controlled drug of class B in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

On September 10th, 2025 at Southern Way in Harlow, drove a Vauxhall Corsa, when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Amphetamine, in your blood namely not less than 262 micrograms of drug per litre of blood, exceeded the specified limit.

On September 10th, 2025 at Southern Way in Harlow, drove a Vauxhall Corsa, when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Benzoylecgonine (BZE, cocaine breakdown product), in your blood, not less than 78 micrograms of drug per litre of blood, exceeded the specified limit.

On September 10th, 2025 at Southern Way in Harlow, drove a Vauxhall Corsa, when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), in your blood, greater than 37 micrograms of drug per litre of blood, exceeded the specified limit.

On November 8th, 2025 stole four bottles of alcohol, to the value of £148.50 belonging to Tesco.

Thompson has been remanded on conditional bail.

His next appearance is scheduled for June 1st, 2026 at Colchester magistrates court.
