STEWARDS Academy celebrated their best ever set of GCSE results.

The school gained 60% five or more GCSEs with Eng and Maths.

Assistant headteacher Marie Erwood said: “We are all thrilled with the results and it reflects on all the hard work of staff and pupils to achieve the best results we have ever had.

“It is great news, and we’re delighted for all of our pupils.”

Among the top achievers were:
George Strachan with 13 xA* and one A.
Lukeman Kazeem with 8 xA* and 7xA.
Francesca Wintie with 7xA* and 2xA.
Hannah Kizilcan with 2xA* and 9xA.
Allanah Barke with 4xA* and 4xA.
