Councillors excluded from Tenants panels after claims they “Too political”

A LEADING Harlow Conservative councillor has questioned a proposal to exclude councillors from certain tenants panels.
Cllr Simon Carter was reacting to comments that housing panel meetings had become too political with “councillors passing notes to member of the public.”
The whole debate can be seen at the 50 min mark onwards in the film below.
What exactly is the problem? What is Cllr. Truan scared of? Notes and pieces of paper have been passed around between all sorts of people at Council meetings since the dawn of time! Surely the democratically elected Councillors who are responsible for making decisions for the residents of this town are very valuable members of these panels!
So let me get this right. It is being suggested that democratically elected people should be band from public meetings. North Korea may well start looking at Harlow for future policys.
