COULD your perfect pooch be the new furry face of St Clare Hospice’s popular Winter Walkies event?
The Hastingwood-based charity is searching for a handsome hound or pretty pup to star on its posters, leaflets and other promotional material in the run up to its annual 5km countryside walk taking place on Sunday, February 28.
St Clare events fundraiser Heather Cameron said: “Last year was the first time we ran our Furry Face of Winter Walkies competition, and we were overwhelmed by the response, attracting more than 90 entries.
“The contest really captured the imagination of our animal-loving supporters, who cast hundreds of votes to make Peanut and Daisy the joint winners.
“We know how much people love their pets, so this year we hope the competition will be just as successful and we can’t wait to see which top dog will be voted the new Furry Faces of Winter Walkies.”
All you need to do to enter the competition is:
Register for the Winter Walkies event at http://stclarehospice.org.uk/get-involved/community-fundraising/furry-face-of-winter-walkies/
Email a picture of your marvellous mutt and a brief description of your pet (including name, breed and age) as well as your booking reference to [email protected] by 12noon on Friday 30th October to go forward to the public vote.
Encourage your friends and family to vote for your pet when the gallery of all the competition entrants is published on the St Clare Facebook page at 10am on Monday 2nd November.
The dog that receives the most ‘Likes’ when voting closes at 12noon on Friday 6th November will be named the winner.
The winning dog and their owner must be available to take part in a special Winter Walkies photo shoot at the Hospice with Pawtrait of Your Pet photographer Vikki Lince on Wednesday, November 11 at 6.30pm.
