A MAN has appeared in court over an allegation that he was in possession of a taser in Harlow.

Artur Jedraszak, 28, of Cumberland Street in Plymouth was charged with the following.

On 03/05/2015 and 03/05/2015 at Harlow without the authority of the Secretary of State, had in your possession a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of a thing, namely handheld torch adapted for use as a taser.

He was remanded in custody.
