Teenage pedestrian suffers head injuries after being knocked down by car on Velizy Avenue

Update: 1100 hrs
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust received a call at 6.01pm yesterday to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Velizy Avenue, Harlow.
An ambulance crew, ambulance officer and rapid response vehicle attended.
They treated a man in his late teens who had suffered a head injury. He was conscious and breathing and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
2100 hrs
Velizy Avenue has been re-opened alert from the slip road that goes down into the Terminus Street car park and/or access to Harlow College.
On police car remains at scene.
1900 hrs
A1019 Essex – A1019 Velizy Avenue in Harlow closed in both directions between the First Avenue Mandela Avenue junction and Crown Gate Roundabout, because of an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.
1845 hrs
CLOSED in both directions between First Avenue and Second Avenue following an accident.
