THE MINSTER with responsibility for combatting domestic violence, Karen Bradley MP visited Harlow on Friday.
The minister, along with Harlow MP, Robert Halfon firstly visited Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in Harlow and then went on to the Safer Places accommodation..
YH spoke to both MPs and asked them to tell us a little bit more about the new scheme introduced by the CAB that the had come to visit.
We also asked the minister about her brief and how the public can meet the challenge of domestic violence.
Unfortunately male victims of domestic violence are often over looked, and do not recieve the same level of support as female victims. There is also a refusal by some politicians to accept that since legal aid reforms in 2013 there is a financial incentive to make false claims of Domestic violence, which ultimately undermines genuine victims.
