Athletics: Kinney far from lost in the Bermuda Triangle!

HARLOW Running Club member Andy Kinney completed the Bermuda Triangle Challenge
over the weekend, 3 races of increasing length in 3 days, on the sub-tropical
island. On Friday Kinney ran the Bermuda Front Street Mile, finishing in 48th
place out of 70 finishers in 8min 08sec. On Saturday he ran the Bermuda 10K,
finishing in 487th place out of 831 finishers in 62min 59sec. Then on Sunday
Kinney ran the Bermuda Marathon, finishing in 91st place out of 99 finishers in
5hrs 52min 12sec.
Meanwhile at the multi-terrain and hilly Benfleet 15 Mile race Will Wall, in his
debut at the distance, finished in 137th place out of 590 finishers in an
excellent 2hrs 02min 49sec. He was followed home by Brendon Maclean (141st in
2.03.11), a personal best time for the distance (PB) by over 10 minutes, Andy
Ramage (222nd in 2.11.57 debut), Martyn Coulter (226th in 2.12.10 debut), Dionne
Jones (260th in 2.16.03), Martin McColgan (352nd in 2.25.45), Debbie Smith
(515th in 2.50.45) and Karen Moir (518th in 2.51.07).
At the Harlow Parkrun 5K Martyn Coulter finished in 8th place out of 133
finishers in a 22min 04sec. He was followed by Terry Ridge (10th in 22.19), wife
Catherine (17th and 2nd Female in 22.57), Anna Baker (19th and 3rd Female in
23.06 PB), Katharine Fennelly (41st in 24.55), Alan Wellbelove (44th in 25.27),
Debbie Barry (46th and 1st Female Vet 55 in 25.45), Louise Kedge (57th in
27.04), Paul Dixon (61st in 27.28), Jeff Mace (67th in 28.07), Pushpa Mistry
(81st in 32.00) and Kerry Mavris (113th in 38.59).
At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Daniel Jephcott finished in 3rd
place out of 118 finishers in a fantastic 18min 35sec. He was followed by dad
Jamie (4th in 19.32), Jamie Luck (19th in 22.32), Graham Saville (20th in 22.34
PB), John Bull (26th in 23.35) and Wendy Spring (33rd in 24.42 PB).
At the Hatfield Forest Parkrun 5K Jason Haigh finished in 6th place out of 128
finishers in 20min 15sec, followed by son Owen (13th and 3rd U18 in 21.40
debut).
At the Panshanger Parkrun 5K in Hertford Sean Flynn finished in 42nd place out
of 254 finishers in 22min 34sec followed by Brenda Clayton (165th and 1st Female
Vet 65 in 29min 56sec).
At the Cornwall Parkrun 5K in Auckland New Zealand Jon Steadman finished in 55th
place out of 241 finishers in 23min 27sec.
A late result from the previous week, at the Cold Christmas to Good Easter
Marathon, a trail race spanning the counties of Herts and Essex, Jared Bethell
finished in 13th place out of 87 finishers in 4hrs 29min 34sec. He was followed
by Brendon Maclean (18th in 4.33.36) and Sean Flynn (58th in 5.45.37).
