Update: 1000 hrs: Statement from Essex Police

“OFFICERS were called to Katherines Way in Harlow shortly after 4am following reports of a concern for safety. 

Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Enquiries are ongoing and his death is being treated as unexpected, but not believed to be suspicious. 

“Officers remain on scene.”

ESSEX Police has sealed off an underpass in Harlow this morning.

The underpass runs underneath Katherine’s Way.

YH attended at the 9am. Officers were protecting the scene on both sides.
