IT HAS been hailed as the template for how business exhibitions should be run and in many ways it shows why Harlow has such an increase in the number of start-up businesses as well as being chosen as an Enterprise Zone.
Robert Halfon MP officially opened the 4th Harlow Business Exhibition at Harlow Leisurezone and called it “the biggest and best business event in the East of England”
Over 120 local businesses and charities exhibited.
Harlow groups Razed Roof, Makin Steps and Stewards school choir were among the performers in the main arena during the day.
Masterchef semi-finalist, Saira Hamilton, gave the keynote speech and this was followed by 20 other talks on subjects as diverse as “Facebook for business”, “Selling to Stansted Airport” and “Everything you need to know about Sales”
The Head Teacher at Epping Upland primary school won the Go Karting prize kindly offered by Rye House Kart Raceway.
Mick Granger, one of the Directors of Harlow Business Exhibitions Ltd, said “we were very pleased with the effort that everyone put in to their Stands and we look forward to repeating the event next year”
The 5th Harlow Business Exhibition will take place on 10th June 2014
Here is an excellent ten min film, made by SilverIsland TV on the days events.
