Old Harlow: Women robbed in her home at gunpoint

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a burglary in Harlow in which four men burst into a house and threatened a woman with a firearm.

The break-in happened between 10-11pm on Monday, July 8 when four men entered the property on Old Road and pushed a handgun to her face, before stealing cash and jewellery.

Investigating Officer, Dc Ryan Burgess, said: “We’re confident that people living on Old Road near to its junction with Bury Road would have seen and heard a commotion at 11pm on Monday night. We would urge them to contact us so that we can identify these men while also allaying this woman’s fears for her safety.”

The assailants ran away from the house. Three of the four men were wearing balaclavas while the fourth was not and he is black. He was wearing a blue top.

A search of the area was conducted by armed officers, with the police helicopter also scouring the area from the sky. Sadly, to no avail.
